Hazelwood school district is Hiring a Behavior Interventionist-Elementary-2024-2025 School Year-Support Services Near Florissant, MO

POSITION SUMMARY: Assist in supporting positive behavioral change in students by developing interventions and behavior plans for the purpose of promoting equitable student achievement. Assists in helping school officials determine best practices and assists with supporting school needs.
This position is paid for 100% by Comprehensive grant funds. Should funds no longer be available, or the school-wide plan changes, the position may be eliminated to meet the needs of the school.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Essential Functions
  1. Facilitates the provision of holistic, student-centered behavioral interventions for students
  2. Provides ongoing consultation and support for school administrators, counselors, social workers, and teaching personnel to meet the needs of individual students and school programs.
  3. Provides evidence based assessment, intervention, consultation, and referral services for students/families with a variety of behavioral, environmental, and social-emotional
  4. Works cooperatively as an integral part of the school's social emotional support team with the goal of improving student academic success and increasing team e?ciency.
  5. Formulates and facilitates the implementation of school-wide and individual positive behavioral intervention supports and plans through the use of appropriate interventions and available community resources.
  6. Facilitates student leadership activities, including peer mentoring programming.
  7. Engages in ongoing quality improvement strategies to assist in the implementation of ongoing behavioral and social-emotional integration strategies.
  8. Serves as a liaison between East High School and the Opportunity Center (alternative education program) and supports students transitioning between schools
  9. Completes, in a timely manner, all required
  10. Engages in conducting observations and developing aligned behavior support plans.
  11. Maintains working knowledge of and collaborates with district and community agencies and resources.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
