Description: The Hazel Crest School District is seeking individuals to fill substitute custodial positions. Applications are taken on an ongoing basis. Applicants are contacted as the district has a need.

Job Summary: In the absence of permanent custodian, cleans classrooms, offices, restrooms, and hallways, locks doors and secures building, sets up for special school activities and maintains school grounds in good working condition to ensure a safe and healthy environment for students, staff, and community.

Qualifications:

• Must possess the ability to work cooperatively with others, and take direction from the appropriate supervisors
• Must possess a working knowledge of and be able to do general maintenance repairs in the areas of electricity, plumbing, heating, and carpentry
• Must possess the ability to perform the quantity and quality of work expected in a safety conscious manner
• Must be available for overtime work when necessary
• A physical exam and negative T.B. test are required
• Must provide a high school diploma or GED equivalent

Working Conditions: The position is on call only. The salary is paid in accordance with the current substitute salary schedule.
