Primary purpose: to provide public health nursing services to individuals in clinical programs in the health department. In this manner, the basic function of the department is to provide preventive care to citizens of the community with emphasis on low-income population.

Provide support to individuals with substance use disorders and their families. Provide referrals to community resources for social needs, mental/behavior health, and physical health care. Provide support for all forms of sober living activities. This position will serve as the clinic nurse with the provider to serve patients within the clinic, specifically those with Substance Use Disorders. This position will also work closely with the Haywood County Detention Center to enhance awareness of prevention and identification of communicable disease by providing immunizations and communicable disease education to inmates.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 5:00 pm with one hour for lunch. Other hours may be set or required per the County policy. Perform duties in times of emergency, including but not limited to, those that may be related to mass sheltering, as the agency is a mandated shelter for the county, and performs such duties as assigned.
