Our reputable Heavy Civil Contractor client is looking for a candidate with a minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction as a Superintendent. As a General Superintendent, you will oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects and other Superintendents, from site management and quality control. You will also supervise on-site staff, subcontractors, and vendors, and ensure that all construction activities are completed on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate should have strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You should also be proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is preferred, but not required.

Our client offers a competitive salary between $200k-$300k depending on years experience, comprehensive benefits package including bonus and vehicle allowance.

Responsibilities

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple construction projects from start to finish

- Manage and coordinate all aspects of the construction process including scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and safety

- Supervise and manage on-site staff, subcontractors, and vendors

- Ensure that all construction activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards

- Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and protocols

- Provide regular progress reports to the project manager and other stakeholders

Qualifications

- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Civil Superintendent

- Experience in roads / highways bridge projects

- Public agency experience with NYCDOT, NYSDOT, DEP, DDC

- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is preferred, but not required
