Responsibilities
Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the material, quality, and origin of our products. Keep abreast of competitor information to provide valuable insights to our customers.
Inventory Management: Responsible for the safe and proper movement of all merchandise, ensuring inventory integrity is maintained at all times.
Receiving and Storage: Handle the receiving, storing, and pulling of merchandise in the department.
Sales Support: Support our sales staff by effectively communicating product knowledge and assisting customers with their inquiries.
Replenishment: Communicate replenishment needs for the sales floor and manage the pull list for efficient restocking.
Transaction Accuracy: Ensure that all sold items are paid for and accurately audited, matching the condition seen on the floor before removal.
Shipment Handling: Receive, verify, and report all new shipments accurately. Account for any damaged merchandise in transit and follow proper procedures.
Warehouse Operations: Safely handle and place all goods to maintain product quality. Direct the flow of goods between the showroom and warehouse.
Visual Merchandising: Maintain the neatness, uniformity, and presentable appearance of the rug department.
Inventory Management: Inventory, tag, and place rugs and pads into their proper location, ensuring they are tagged and priced correctly according to buying office directives.
