We are seeking an experienced Construction Carpenter to perform a wide range of skilled construction tasks. These tasks may include, but are not limited to: siding repair, light framing, cabinet/counter top replacement, door replacements.

The Construction Technician practices preventive maintenance of tools and equipment and complies with federal regulations governing safety, environmental protection, hazardous waste disposal, and the use of chemical substances and materials common to construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform tasks which might involve operating equipment, carpentry, and painting.
• Performs plumbing, electrical, maintenance, repair, and remodeling.
• Completes assigned project tasks with quality workmanship by inspecting the work site.
• Assists with documenting by keeping records of time and materials for each job, and providing status reports.
• Practices preventive maintenance of tools and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• A high school diploma or the equivalent. Certification from a vocational or technical training program is a plus.
• 1 to 4 years of experience in a construction environment: including remodeling or framing knowledge.
• Plumbing, electrical, HVAC knowledge extremely helpful.
• Ability to use hand and power tools, precision measuring, and mechanical equipment.
• Understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
• Following and enforcing safety procedures.

ADDITIONAL:

• Frequently lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Extended standing and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
• The work is performed indoors and outdoors.
