Position Summary / Purpose

Seeking a bilingual candidate to organize and coordinate smooth and efficient plant operations while and developing and growing employees. Provide support to the General Manager and assist in the profitability & growth of the company. Maintain and serve customers through excellent service, hands-on supervision, and efficiency. The primary work schedule is Monday through Friday and work times may flex based on production needs and personal schedules. Fridays are typically a half day.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

· Actively pursue safety excellence.

· Design as needed, implement, and maintain plant policies and procedures through active leadership.

· Maintain smooth production and workflow of all departments.

· Identify, track and manage production and plant KPI’s.

· Oversee production schedule and labor resources.

· Assist with time and labor studies to maintain proper resource allocation.

· Collaborate with the department managers to ensure accuracy and efficiency while maintaining customer service.

· Respond accordingly to customer issues.

· Review production records, identify substandard patterns.

· Assist with the tracking of waste in departments and provide solutions for reduction.

· Ensure proper shipping and receiving standards.

· Identify and report variances in the operating reports.

· Maintain up-to-date policies and procedures regarding state and federal work laws.

· Evaluate, appraise and review performance, coach, train and discipline staff.

· Plan and implement continuous improvement systems.

· Maintain the plant ISPM 15 certification and paperwork.

· Foster and embrace team development at all levels of the organization.

· Oversee Plant Maintenance including preventative maintenance plan and reactive projects.

· Train staff as needed, participate in new employee interviewing, and hiring.

Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Work experience or education background in the areas of manufacturing supervision, leadership, and team building.

· Experience in automated manufacturing settings.

· Intermediate to advance computer skills including familiarity of ERP systems, and Word and Excel spreadsheets.

· Plans, organizes, prioritizes, and schedules time in efficiently and productively. Effectively manages multiple projects simultaneously. Manages personal time well.

· Above average communication skills. Able to clearly and concisely articulate ideas and instructions through verbal and oral communication.

· Basic business math skills required.

· Knowledge of manufacturing concepts, S&H, and inventory control.

· Knowledge of state and federal safety regulations.

· Ability to multitask and troubleshoot. Ability to find the root cause of an issue and solve it.
