Canandaigua Finger Lakes Resort, opening Spring 2023, is actively searching for a passionate, organized, and results-driven Bellhop to join our team of hospitality professionals in this new build Hilton Tapestry Collection Hotel.

The destination resort and conference center is situated on the north shore of Canandaigua Lake, providing guests with spectacular southerly waterfront views. The property will feature 109 guest rooms and suites, a destination restaurant with seasonal waterfront patio, outdoor pool and tiki bar, 8,100 square feet of meeting, conference and special event facilities, outdoor tents, a world class 3,500 square foot wellness spa and public dock slips for boaters.

The resort will also be home to 44 upscale residential condominiums, offering one, two and three-bedroom units on the fourth and fifth floors to be accessed by private elevator entrance. Owners will enjoy personal concierge level services provided by the resort and spa. The condominiums are currently being marketed by Howard Hanna Real Estate.

Job Summary:

• Greet and welcome all guests in a professional and hospitable manner. Direct guests to the appropriate area.
• Have a thorough working knowledge of hotel property offerings, amenities, room types and numbers.
• Assist guests with any and all needs, primarily assisting in bringing luggage to and from their rooms and ensuring housekeeping and maintenance requests upon arrival.
• Communicate all guest room status changes to Housekeeping department. Communicate all maintenance requests with maintenance department.
• Professionally handle guest complaints, problem solve to satisfy all guest needs, and follow up with manager.
• Have a thorough knowledge of hotel services, local shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
• Deliver guest amenities as necessary.
• Professional use of company vehicle to shuttle guests to and from hotel, parking, beach access, local attractions, etc.
• Know and practice all safety and emergency procedures. Lead emergency situations, such as evacuations. Follow all key procedures. Secure guest valuables. Manage Lost and Found per policy.

Required Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be friendly, welcoming, and exhibit a positive attitude
• 1 year customer service experience
• Ability to operate smoothly and professionally under high stress situations.
• Flexibility to work nights or mornings, weekends, holidays, and busy seasonal days (i.e. town festivals)
• May be subject to successful completion of background check and/or DMV check.
