Job Functions:
Ensure the proper handling and storage of finished goods and component stock models. Prepares products for shipping and routes shipments using the most efficient means available to guarantee accuracy and customer satisfaction. Auditing and processing of shipments accurately to ensure the customer receives order correctly
Accountabilities:
Follow safety guidelines to support a safe working environment
Follow 5S guidelines to promote an organized and efficient work area
Provide support to co-workers to ensure workload is complete by the end of the day

Other Job Duties:

Determines the most efficient method of shipment.
Prepares shipments by utilizing techniques such as small parcel packaging, bulk packaging, palletizing, crating, and dedicated containers.
Uses shipping documents to pull and stage products for shipment.
Verifies type (model) and quantity per shipment.
Manifests written or electronic documents for shipment processing.
Processes shipments using waybills and long or short bill of lading forms.
Processes shipments by utilizing small parcel systems and bill of lading software.
Verifies type and amount of product to be received from production and stocked in the Finished Goods Warehouse.
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bin locations.
Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, racks, and shelves by hand.
Down stocks and maintains organization in the Finished Goods Warehouse.
Conducts cycle and audit counts for inventory control.
Maintains inventory records.
Must have basic knowledge of freight terms, dimensional weight, and international export requirements.
Instructs training of basic safety, ISO, and shipping topics and procedures
Able to use computers, electronic devices, and window-based programs.
All other duties as assigned by the Shipping/Logistics Supervisor.

Qualifications


Skills/Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years prior shipping experience, orequivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to safely operate industrial lifting equipment and perform preventative maintenance checks and services. Ability to safely operate hand tools to build wooden crates or secure products. Forklift certification a plus.
Computer Skills:
Familiar with Microsoft Word, experience with shipping software including UPS software and scanning software.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, understand, and write in English and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to read maps, basic graphs, and flow charts. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several tangible variables in standardized situations. Ability to apply common sense understanding in questionable or unfamiliar situations.

Remain in a stationary position frequently daily.

Frequently move about or traverse warehouse, production environment daily.
Regularly carry, move, and transport objects or boxes up to 25 pounds; frequently carry, move, and transport objects or boxes up to 75-100 lbs. pounds; and sometimes must use material handling equipment to lift and/or transport objects or boxes more than 150 pounds.
Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, and controls to perform functions and job duties.
Occasionally required to obtain or move objects above head.
Must be able to hear approaching equipment, vehicle horn and/or warning device with assistance if needed.
Regularly grasp and retrieve objects and items needed to perform job.
Frequently ascends or descends, works atop equipment, moves around objects to perform job duties.
