Hawker Pacific is Hiring a Production Control Coordinator I - 2nd Shift Near Sun Valley, CA

Hawker Pacific Aerospace, Sun Valley, CA is seeking a Production Control Coordinator I to support its Production Control department. Selected applicant will be responsible coordinating the movement of parts throughout the overhaul and repair cycle. Interfaces and communicates with all departments to ensure the timely delivery of parts in accordance to customer requirements and the production schedule.

This position may be assigned to one or more departments depending upon the company needs at the time.

Essential Duties

This individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned task. May be assigned some or all duties indicated below depending on job progression level.

  1. Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the facility.
  2. Maintain the flow of large and heavy parts throughout the facility.
  3. Ensuring loads are secure when transporting parts, and stacking unused pallets.
  4. Performing daily equipment checks, such as recharging and lubricating equipment, maintaining inspection logs.
  5. Support production and inventory personnel with “return to stock” and inventory purge actions.
  6. Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility.
  7. Liaison between project team and departments supported.
  8. Drive the production process of assigned engagement
  9. Assist with the planning of production schedules of all jobs, tracking progress on production timeline.
  10. Track and follow up on missing information/orders.
  11. Communicates with various functional teams within the facility, as well as in the warehouse, to provide up to date information and resolve production-processing issues.
  12. Recognizes and makes management aware of issues and potential problems, and assists in determining possible solutions.
  13. Coordinates with appropriate personnel to meet the delivery schedule.
  14. Escalates delinquent work orders as needed, through production steering and process coordinator personnel.
  15. Implements, controls, and holds others accountable to established deadlines.
  16. Maintains the priority lists, including verifying that the lot status in the database is correct.
  17. Follows up with appropriate personnel to release any lots or orders on hold.
  18. Ensures WIP materials and supplies are available.
  19. Coordinates with Program Coordinator to resolve shortages in Assembly process.
  20. Schedules, tracks, and expedites orders through production and manufacturing.
  21. Analyzes historical orders and external factors to appropriately forecast production materials required.
  22. Creates and/or reviews production schedules, ensuring consistency of terminology, and inclusion and proper documentation of all needs/requested items, paying close attention to details that will ensure a smooth production.
  23. Plan, schedule, and prepare production order details, including handovers from one shift to another.
  24. Assists with scheduling and managing production meetings as event jobs are scheduled.
  25. Documents, understands, and redesigns processes and workflow for designated departments/divisions.
  26. Coordinates with users to redesign processes and workflows using best practice standards.
  27. Determines and enters delivery/due dates in the databases.
  28. Analyzes proposals to establish production methods in conjunction with operations team for the effective rollout of projects.
  29. Correlate planning and scheduling with machine loading.
  30. Makes recommendations for process and efficiency improvements within production.
  31. Notify Program Engineering of potential swap parts to ensure timely completion of event.
  32. Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
  33. Adhere to all the rules, regulations, and safety guidelines.
  34. Responsibility to work with LEAN Manufacturing principles.
  35. Performs other duties as required by business needs.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Certification/Licensure: Required: Forklift Certification

Experience: 1-year experience. 

Preferred: Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Landing Gear Experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Superior presentation and negotiation skills. Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Attention to detail and ability to multitask tasks from multiple administrators. SAP Knowledge.
