Hawk Ridge Systemsis continuing to expand throughout North America by adding a Technical Support Product Engineer, 3DP to our talented Technical Support team! The Technical Support Product Engineer, 3DP position is an entry-level technical position ideal for degreed Mechanical Engineer or similar engineering applicants. Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) as well as 3D printing slicing software and a demonstrated ability to operate and maintain various types of 3D printers (e.g., FDM, SLA, SLS). Remotely troubleshoot technical issues with 3D printers, including software errors, filament jams, and print failures. Report and collaborate with external vendors or service providers as needed for maintenance or repairs of 3D printing equipment. This position is a customer-centric role and will provide technical support to external customers in a post-sales capacity.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN THIS TECHNICAL SUPPORT PRODUCT ENGINEER, 3DP ROLE?

• Provide remote technical support to external customers in a post-sales capacity
• Develop and maintain technical expertise in Markforged and other 3D Printing hardware
• Learn new skills and applications as new products are launched
• Constant communication with customers and partners via phone, chat, and email to solve errors, print failures and general usage cases.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED FOR SUCCESS IN THIS TECHNICAL SUPPORT PRODUCT ENGINEER, 3DP ROLE?

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering required. (Applicants without an engineering degree who have professional 3D printer operation and maintenance experience may be considered.)
• Strong proficiency in 3D printing technology and file preparation software.
• Proficiency in a 3D modeling application, such as SOLIDWORKS, Fusion360, or OnShape is a plus.
• Real-world insight & knowledge of the applications of 3D printing in the industry.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Operating Systems & MS Office products.
• Experience with Markforged 3D Printers is a plus.
• Customer support or service experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent customer relations skills
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Operating Systems and MS Office products
• Professional experience with FDM printer troubleshooting is preferred.
• Autonomous, self-driven, detail-oriented, excellent communicator with outstanding time management and interpersonal skills (empathetic, team player, problem solver with excellent conflict management skills)
• Flexible, adaptable, assertive, and persuasive, as well as the ability to learn quickly, multitask, analyze, and prioritize responsibilities.

Hawk Ridge Systems has determined that the new hire hourly base pay range for this role is between $29.93 and $37.44. Your pay will be based on a number of factors, including knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This new hire compensation range will allow you the opportunity to progress as you grow in your career.
