POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Marketing – Mauna Loa, the Hawaiʻi Marketing Manager – Mauna Loa serves as a vital bridge between Marketing and Sales, effectively translating overarching brand strategies into targeted regional initiatives and promotions tailored specifically for the Hawaiʻi market. In this role, the Hawai‘i Marketing Manager – Mauna Loa is responsible for implementing industry-leading practices, working in tandem with Sales counterparts to craft compelling selling narratives and spearhead the introduction of regional new products. They also assume responsibility for steering the creative development process of advertising campaigns across various platforms, including print, digital, PR, and broadcasting specific to the Hawaiʻi market.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Regional Marketing Support 
  • Strategize and implement dynamic regional consumer promotions, trade program initiatives, and marketing campaigns, meticulously crafted to drive heightened volume, expand market share, and maximize profitability. 
  • Spearhead the creation and oversight of an annual comprehensive regional marketing plan, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives. 
  • Innovate and orchestrate compelling regional promotional programs tailored for successful new product launches, driving excitement and engagement in the market. 
  • Champion the ideation and commercialization process for all regional innovations, ensuring seamless integration into the market landscape in collaboration with the Innovation Team.
  • Cultivate effective relationships with creative agencies and designers, guiding the collaborative process of campaign development and seamless implementation. 
  • Manage and execute participation in regional tradeshows and events, including but not limited to Merrie Monarch. 
  • Responsible for managing the regional marketing budget, optimizing resource allocation for maximum impact. 
  • Conduct thorough analyses of marketing performance, leveraging insights to refine strategies and enhance future campaign effectiveness. 
  • Collaborate closely with the regional Hawaiʻi Sales Team, offering valuable support in developing targeted go-to-market strategies, tailored by channel and customer. 
  • Facilitate seamless execution of the regional marketing blueprint by liaising with external agencies, orchestrating a harmonious synergy of efforts. 
  • Foster effective collaboration with external agencies, when necessary, to execute the comprehensive regional marketing plan seamlessly. 
  • Liase and assist Brand as well as Social Media team with any needs specific to Hawaiʻi including photoshoots, etc.
  • Trade Marketing Support  
  • Craft compelling sales presentations and collateral to showcase the value proposition of new products and seasonal offerings, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and market needs. 
  • Collaborate on the strategic planning, development, and delivery of sales and brand materials at regional trade shows and customer collaboration planning sessions, driving engagement and brand visibility. 
  • Collaborate on the implementation of regional SKU rationalization, guiding the communication strategy with the regional Sales Team and creating supporting materials that effectively convey the benefits to customers. 
  • Support the Sales Team by contributing to regional pricing analysis and optimization efforts, leveraging insights to enhance competitiveness in the market. 
  • Collaboration 
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Brand Manager to ensure that all regional marketing programs adhere to brand standards and guidelines, maintaining a cohesive and consistent brand identity across all initiatives. 
  • Partner closely with the regional Sales Team to orchestrate the seamless execution of tailored trade programs, fostering synergies and driving impactful results. 
  • Take the helm in cultivating and nurturing regional collaborations and strategic partnerships, fostering mutually beneficial relationships that amplify brand presence and market impact in collaboration with the Global Brand Marketing Team. 
  • Engage collaboratively with cross-functional teams to effectively bring to market all regional new products, ensuring a coordinated and successful commercialization process. 
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Exemplify adherence to company policies and procedures while consistently upholding high standards in all responsibilities. 
  • Fulfill any additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to meeting organizational needs. 
  • Attendance to events/tradeshows is required for this position. These events/tradeshows may require travel and may be outside of normal business day/hours. 
  • Regular attendance is required for the position. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are a must. 
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field is required. 
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in marketing. 
  • Must possess exceptional organizational skills, diligence, attention to detail, and self-motivation, with a proven track record of collaborative teamwork. 
  • Showcase a profound understanding of the complete marketing mix, integrating various elements for strategic execution. 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, showcasing adept multitasking skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with a preference for Adobe Creative Suite proficiency. 
  • Preferably possess experience in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry. 
  • Graphic Design skills with proficiency in Adobe Experience are highly preferred.
