JOB FUNCTION :

Handles incoming, outgoing and inter-departmental mail.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Opens, sorts, stuffs, picks up and delivers mail as required.
• Runs errands to business offices and makes deposits to banks.
• Picks up and delivers large parcels to and from post office.
• Operates postage machine and high-speed folding equipment as required.
• Drives Company vehicle on errands.
• Assume an emergency management role, as assigned, and perform specific assignments or functions, as needed, in an event of an emergency, not to include routine trouble calls / callouts.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Does clerical work as assigned.
• Occasionally substitutes for other employees during their absence when necessary.
• Performs similar and incidental duties as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :

• Must pass the Edison Electric Institute Support & Administrative Selection System ( SASS ). Note : Employees who have taken and passed the General Clerical Test do not need to take the SASS.
• Must be able to lift and carry loads of mail and packages up to 65 pounds.
• Must have or be able to qualify for State of Hawaii driver’s license. Must meet the standards for frequent required driving positions as stated in the Hiring Standards for Required Company Drivers policy.
