We are looking for an Accounting Clerk for our joint venture Dry Dock project located at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam located on Oahu, Hawaii.

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for assisting in accurately processing and recording invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring timely payments.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & REPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Prints and obtains signatures on all accounts payable checks
• Distributes signed checks as required
• Answers all vendor inquiries
• Reconcile and analyze General Ledger Control Accounts, such as Accrued Liabilities, Prepaid Expenses etc.
• Prepare Federal and State Excise tax returns
• Assist in the preparation of the Monthly Construction Project Reports

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS USED:

• Accounting or finance degree or equivalent and 5 years experience in accounting or finance
• Strong understanding of accounting theory and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principle
• Detailed oriented in data entry and record keeping
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in Accounting Software such as Timberline, ECMS is a plus.

Starting Salary: $50,000/yr.
