Are you committed to providing innovative and personalized learning experiences to help at-risk students succeed academically and personally? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Teacher for our High Core Alternative Learning Program serving secondary students within our district.As a Teacher in our High Core (Alternative Learning Program), you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and nurturing environment for students who are at risk of academic failure, experiencing behavior issues, and falling behind on credits. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students who require individualized attention, empathy, and creative instructional approaches to thrive.Responsibilities: * Develop and implement engaging and relevant curriculum tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of at-risk secondary students.* Provide differentiated instruction and support to address gaps in students' academic knowledge and skills, focusing on core subject areas such as English, Math, Science, and Social Studies.* Utilize innovative teaching strategies, project-based learning, and real-world applications to increase student engagement and motivation.* Establish positive relationships with students, serving as a mentor, advocate, and role model to help them overcome personal challenges and build self-confidence.* Implement behavior management strategies and restorative practices to create a safe and respectful learning environment conducive to academic success.* Collaborate with school counselors, administrators, and support staff to identify students' individual needs, develop intervention plans, and monitor progress towards academic and behavioral goals.* Provide ongoing communication and support to parents/guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress, challenges, and achievements.
