Seeking a full-time/ part-time Ophthalmic Assistant and Patient Service Representative (Front Desk Staff) for Eye Clinic in Hilo / Kona

For Ophthalmic Assistant :

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist ophthalmologists and optometrists in patient examinations and procedures.
  • Perform preliminary eye tests and vision screenings.
  • Prepare patients for eye surgeries or procedures.
  • Administer eye drops and medications as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and test results.
  • Assist with patient education and instruction on eye care, medications, and post-operative care.
  • Sterilize and maintain medical instruments and equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms.
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns.

For Patient Service Representative:

Position Overview: We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Front Desk Staff member. As a Front Desk Staff member, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience at our clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and greet patients and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor.
  • Register new patients, collect necessary information, and verify insurance coverage.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's appointment system.
  • Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and provide information to callers.
  • Check patients in and out, collect co-payments, and assist with billing inquiries.
