Description

Job Summary:
The Grant Coordinator, reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Sponsored Projects, will be responsible for assisting with grant research, and grant administration projects, as well as supporting the department with administrative tasks. This position will assist the AVP, Office of Sponsored Projects in preparing for any assigned tasks related to sponsored projects. The successful incumbent will be able to manage ongoing and new projects, while staying organized and keeping track of, and meeting, multiple deadlines.
This role will be a temporary, part-time position, working no more than 19 hours per week.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma
  • Experience with administrative duties or office/departmental support.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or some college courses
  • Experience with grant research coordination.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member.
Other Qualifications:
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship and relocation allowance is not available for this position.
  • This position may be considered an essential position with report to work obligations depending on the type of emergency, campus closure, or evacuation.
  • Must meet training and background check qualifications and comply with the Protection of Minors policy.
  • Successful candidate will be able to work in an environment that utilize excellent time and stress management skills.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:
1. Assist the AVP of Sponsored Projects on grant research, proposals, and administration (55%)
  • Effort reporting.
  • RCR training documentation.
2. Perform administrative duties to support the department (40%)
  • Maintain the OSP grant lists such as active grant list and submission list maintenance.
  • Maintain the OSP department grant emails
3. Performs other related duties as assigned (5%)
  • Actively participates as an effective member of team by completing assigned duties, accepting additional assignments or reassignments.
  • Assists with seasonal peaks.
