Job Summary:
The Behavioral Health Program Manager is responsible for the overall strategic direction of an assigned behavioral health program as well as ensuring all day-to-day responsibilities are handled appropriately and timely by support staff. The Behavioral Health Program Manager simultaneously manages a variety of projects to help support HBH clients. The Behavioral Health Program Manager is responsible for identifying new service opportunities and executing on delivering results in accordance with established goals.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Strong management and direct services skills and experience demonstrating excellence in problem-solving, collaboration and direct service competencies in providing services to individuals with disabilities and their families.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with severe social, communication and behavioral deficits.
  • Able to lead and direct paraprofessionals in various environments (home and community)
  • Good communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Able to respond effectively to the varied needs of individuals, families, state regulatory staff and other multidisciplinary team members.
  • Quarterly reports and summary of data
  • Coordinate program employees to ensure fulfillment of authorized services as well as track utilization.
  • Maintain the work schedule for field staff, scheduling of field staff and effectively communicating with program leads and staff regarding schedule changes, conflicts, and case referrals.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the appropriate state agency to solicit referrals.
  • Responsible for processing all documents for payroll purposes, increasing the number of participants, referrals, and intake as well as corresponding and coordinating with state agency staff regarding new participants and/or services.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a nationally accredited university in a human services field (e.g., social work, psychology, etc.) is required.
  • TB clearance upon hire and annual TB examinations thereafter.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification – in-person instruction is required for initial certification.
  • Clearance of fingerprinting, criminal history check, state name check/E-Crim
  • Valid and current Driver’s License, automobile insurance, and traffic abstract must be submitted.
Essential Duties:
  • Stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Utilize computer, cell phone or desk phone, and scanner/printer.
  • Proofread documents for accuracy.
  • Utilize consistent and professional interpersonal and communication skills with clients, outside agency staff, and HBH staff.
