Position Specific DescriptionRecruitment Number 24-076KS, Facilities Manager I, SR-22*, Hilo, Hawai`i.
Minimum Qualification RequirementsEducation Requirement: Graduation from high school. Excess experience of the type described below or work experience requiring the ability to read and comprehend and apply written directions or a high degree of verbal skill may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
Specialized Experience Requirement: Six (6) years of work experience which demonstrated knowledge in one or a combination of the following types of work:
Education Substitution for Experience: Successfully completed study at an accredited college or university in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering or architecture may be substituted for Specialized Experience on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of four (4) years.

- Facilities management.
- Skilled trades or crafts experience in construction or maintenance projects of buildings which required the preparation and/or interpretation of plans, specifications and drawings, and the proper observance of safety measures, practices, methods, techniques, materials, costs, equipment and tools used in construction projects.
- Procurement of a variety of supplies and equipment which included cost comparisons; and/or,
- Developing the capital improvement plans and executing the capital improvement budget for an agency.
