Have Only Positive Expectations ( HOPE ) LLC is a Home and Community Based Service Waiver Provider in Omaha, NE.
HOPE LLC is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to work with the people we support as a Direct Support Professional.
JOB DUTIES:
- Implement ISP programs to guide daily interactions
- Direct daily activities to teach and expand participant behavior and skill development necessary for independence
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Support participants in all aspects of life including meal preparation, recreational and leisure activities and activities of daily living (ADL’s)
- Support with all aspects of personal hygiene
- Monitor medical records and support administration as directed
- Provide transportation as needed
- Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or the company
- Willingness to utilize adaptive devices
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
- High school diploma/GED required
- Minimum age of 19 years
- Valid Driver’s License
- Background Checks
- Current vehicle Insurance
- Outstanding writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Attention to detail, good time management skills, ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to manage stressful situations responsibly and effectively
- Provides input and assistance in planning and evaluating programs and clients’ goals.
- Maintenance and documentation of records of client’s accidents/incidents as required.
- Physically capable of transferring, assisting with transfers, assisting with lifting clients who require physical assistance
- Increase wage/hour for candidates that possess the following skills or certifications
- College Degree
- American Sign Language (ASL)
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Registered Behavioral Therapist (RBT)
EXPERIENCES :
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- knowledge of first aid and CPR is a plus
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality is required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with individuals and their families
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
PAY : Up to 17 $ / hour based on experience
