You receive a competitive wage of $13.67 - $15.67 per hour, depending on experience. There is also an opportunity for a 50-cent increase at 90 days of employment. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP)

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with our awesome nonprofit, you have the chance to work closely with each individual under your care while making sure their needs are met so they can live their best lives.

Your day starts with reviewing each client's individual support plan (ISP) and getting ready for any scheduled appointments or activities. You're a pro at personal care tasks like bathing, dressing, and grooming, and you always make sure they're taking their meds and eating well. But you're not just a taskmaster – you're amazing at building relationships in this flexible role! You engage with the individuals you support in a variety of activities like going for walks, playing games, watching movies, or whatever their hobbies are. Using your people skills, you create a positive and supportive environment that promotes their overall well-being and happiness.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP)

• 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Driver's license with a clean driving record
• Desire to work with people who have developmental disabilities

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP)

These part-time or full-time caregiver positions with our nonprofit have several schedules to choose from. The flexible schedules available are 8:00 pm - 8:00 am, 9:00 pm - 9 am, weekends, and 24-hour shifts.
