Position Description
GENERAL
Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
Assist in any quality items, alerts, and sorts.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the quality auditing activities in the receiving, in-process, destruct test, containment, and final areas. Assist in any Quality items, Quality alerts, and sorts.
Must be capable of properly using Calipers, micrometers, digital and dial indicators, height gages, checking fixtures, basic blueprint reading, possess basic SPC knowledge, and have basic computer knowledge. Must portray good Safety, Quality, Housekeeping, Attendance habits, and be able to perform in a team-oriented environment. Perform other tasks as required by the Quality Manager or Leader.
Problem-solving, optical comparator, blueprint reading, SPC (Gage talker) knowledge of Quality procedures. Ability to make some quality-related decisions (with Q.E. or Q.M. input) concerning product approval and disposition.
Operation of the CMM. (ability to run a program). Ability to make accurate quality-related decisions concerning product quality and disposition.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Get any necessary paperwork, gauging equipment, and sample parts for upcoming jobs.
Put away any paperwork and gauging from previous jobs.
Complete first piece approvals and sign first piece tags.
Perform any checks that need comparator or CMM program checks.
Assist and instruct operators in quality checks.
Audit product during production.
Audit any paperwork used in the production or movement of the product.
Fill out hold tags for unacceptable products.
Informs operator/die setter of unacceptable product.
Complete last piece check at the end of jobs.
The employee understands that they are empowered to affect change in the company by making suggestions in writing or verbally to their supervisor (i.e., Bright Ideas, Safety Team, Departmental Meetings, and WERS).
Perform any tasks necessary to meet company goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Understanding of general blueprint reading.
Understanding of basic GD & T requirements.
Understanding of basic gage usage.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
REQUIREMENT:
Must wear personal protective equipment as required.
Required training in QMS - EMS
Follow plant safety rules and guidelines.
