GENERAL

The perfect candidate would:

• Possess familiarity and ability to operate Fanuc, Motoman and/or Kawasaki robots and controls
• Must work effectively in a team environment as well as an individual
• Complete assignments in a timely manner
• Ability to document activities in Hatch system
• Troubleshoot technical issues with production and facilities equipment as they arise
• Metal fabrication experience is a plus
• Maintain an acceptable attendance record.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Maintain and improve production equipment while providing safe and efficient machine operation, along with the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities.

Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude, a desire to learn and become proficient in equipment repair and operation of production equipment. Must portray good Safety, Quality, Housekeeping, Attendance habits, and be able to perform in a team-oriented environment. Perform other tasks as required by the Facilities Manager or other supervisors.

Must be able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. Must be open-minded and willing to complete all assignments, including but not limited to: press and/or equipment maintenance including greasing and oil changes, perform daily press checks, perform preventative maintenance on all shop equipment as needed, perform general building maintenance, and perform general forklift repair. Must comply with all shop and maintenance department guidelines, including being flexible with working hours.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Be able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Perform daily production cell checks.

Perform preventative maintenance on all shop equipment as needed.

Perform general building maintenance.

Complete general forklift operational check sheets

Maintain clean oil storage area.

Snow removal at entrances when necessary.

Must be flexible in scheduling.

The employee understands that they are empowered to affect change in the company by making suggestions in writing or verbally to their supervisor (i.e., Bright Ideas, Safety Team, Departmental Meetings, and WERS).

Perform any tasks necessary to meet company goals and requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must have 1-2 years’ experience in a pressroom environment with building maintenance and mechanical repairs.

Must have own tools.

REQUIREMENT:

Must wear personal protective equipment as required.

Follow plant safety rules and guidelines.

Required training in QMS-EMS.

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds of weight.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
