About the role:

The Security Analyst will use a variety of tools and techniques to identify vulnerabilities in client networks, applications, and systems. This is done through vulnerability scanning and other security assessments. Security Analysts provide guidance to clients on remediation and overall systems security. Security Analysts may work independently or as part of an engagement team to provide relevant and accurate reports and recommendations to clients.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Conduct vulnerability scans to assess the security of a variety of environments and applications
  • Travel as needed to client sites for onsite testing. This is generally 5-15% depending on engagement requirements
  • Perform Social Engineering assessments including phishing, phone, and onsite testing
  • Perform technical reviews of firewall, wireless, and other device configurations
  • Write accurate and professional report deliverables
Secondary responsibilities include:
  • Perform or assist with other security assessments as needed
  • Conduct or assist with Penetration Testing engagements
  • Assist and advise in the technical sales process
  • Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new services
  • Assist with internal IT projects and tasks as needed
Candidates for the Information Security Analyst position should possess:
  • 3 years relevant Information Security experience, or demonstrated skills and abilities
  • Experience with Tenable Nessus and other vulnerability scanning tools
  • Experience with social engineering tools and testing methodologies
  • Knowledge of Information Security concepts and terminology
  • Knowledge and experience with a broad range of information technology including, but not limited to: Various Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX, etc.), Networking protocols and services, Active Directory, Firewall, IDS, IPS
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to relay complex concepts to both technical and non-technical clients
  • Professional demeaner and mindset
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Relevant Information Security certifications, such as Security , GSEC, CISSP or other vendor certifications

$70,000 - $90,000 a year
