Job Title: Communications Associate
Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Communications Associate to join our team. The Communications Associate will play a key role in crafting and disseminating our organization's messages to various stakeholders, including employees, clients, partners, and the public. This position requires a combination of excellent written and verbal communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate across departments to achieve communication goals.
Responsibilities:
Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers. Pitch stories, respond to media inquiries, and coordinate interviews to garner positive coverage for the organization.
Social Media Management: Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and followership across platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
Internal Communications: Assist in the development and execution of internal communication plans to keep employees informed and engaged. This may include drafting memos, organizing town hall meetings, and managing internal communication platforms.
Brand Management: Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all communication channels. Help develop and maintain brand guidelines to uphold the organization's identity and values.
Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of events, conferences, and other promotional activities. This may involve coordinating logistics, drafting event materials, and managing vendor relationships.
Qualifications:
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences and communication channels.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience managing social media platforms and familiarity with social media management tools.
Ability to think strategically, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
