Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for both clients and their furry companions.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries promptly and professionally
- Check-in patients, obtain necessary information, and update patient records
- Assist with client education regarding pet care, medications, and treatments
- Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth workflow
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills for data entry and record keeping
Skills:
- Dog training experience
- Familiarity with kennel operations
- Understanding of veterinary critical care procedures
- Knowledge of pet care practices and animal husbandry
- Ability to handle dogs safely and confidently
