Company OverviewOur Blue Flint plant, located near Underwood, North Dakota, has been in operation since 2007. Blue Flint purchases more than 23 million bushels of corn from North Dakota farmers and uses it to produce over 70 million gallons of clean-burning ethanol annually, as well as distillers’ grains for livestock feed, and corn oil for biodiesel production. The Blue Flint plant also provides E85 to retail fuel stations across the state.We built the Blue Flint plant next to Rainbow Energy's- Coal Creek Station, North Dakota's largest power plant, for a very good reason: co-location. We use waste steam from Coal Creek Station to provide the energy needed for our ethanol refining process and to dry distillers’ grains. Our partnership with Rainbow Energy differentiates Blue Flint as one of the most cost-effective, energy efficient and environmentally friendly biorefineries’ in the country.Position OverviewThe Electrical and Instrumentation Technician is responsible for performing preventative, predictive, routine and emergency maintenance on the plant electrical equipment, instrumentation, valves, communication, and control systems in a timely manner to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operation. Assisting with mechanical maintenance repairs on related process plant equipment to maintain overall plant reliability which includes operating all hand and power tools and other equipment required to perform mechanical maintenance duties.Key Responsibilities and Functions
