Job Description:

Harvest Hub KS is seeking a passionate and dynamic Education and Outreach Coordinator to join our team. This person will play a vital role in developing and implementing educational programs, community outreach initiatives, and events aimed at food producers and processors, regenerative agriculture, healthy eating habits, and local food systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute educational programs for individuals of all ages, including workshops, seminars, farm tours, and hands-on activities focused on regenerative agriculture, nutrition, and food production.

2. Collaborate with local schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to identify educational needs and opportunities within the community.

3. Plan and organize outreach events, including farmers' markets, community festivals, and volunteer opportunities to raise awareness about Harvest Hub KS and its mission.

4. Create educational materials, including brochures, pamphlets, and online content, to support outreach efforts and engage the community.

5. Maintain and cultivate relationships with local farmers, producers, and vendors to ensure a diverse and high-quality selection of products available through Harvest Hub KS.

6. Assist with marketing and promotional efforts, including social media campaigns, email newsletters, and press releases, to increase visibility and participation in Harvest Hub KS programs and events.

7. Track and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and outreach initiatives, collecting feedback from participants and stakeholders to inform future planning and decision-making.

8. Stay informed about current trends and developments in sustainable agriculture, food policy, and nutrition to enhance the relevance and impact of Harvest Hub KS's educational initiatives.

Qualifications:

1. College coursework in agriculture, environmental studies, education, nutrition, or a related field.

2. Experience in education, outreach, or community engagement, preferably in the fields of agriculture, food systems, or environmental sustainability.

3. Marketing and graphic design experience a plus.

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire diverse audiences.

5. Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

6. Knowledge of sustainable agriculture practices, local food systems, and nutrition principles.

7. Proficiency in Google Suite, with social media platforms, and content management systems.

8. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

9. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events and outreach activities.
