Harvest Hill Beverage Company is Hiring an Equipment Operator Near Verona, PA

SUMMARY: The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating assigned line equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Follow all safety, food safety, & GMP rules and regulations.
  • Maintain the food safety and quality of the process and finished product.
  • Keep work area clean and organized by practicing good housekeeping in the immediate work area.
  • Qualified to operate labelers on lines 11, 15 and 16; Ar-Pak to line 11; packers on line 15 and 16. Line 5 Straw machine, Ixapack, Ar-Pak. Line 14 Fillers and Delkor
  • Ensure that all product is properly labeled and packaged. 
  • Maintain line efficiencies during operations. 
  • Relieve on any production line during “break time” schedule and assist fellow employees on any line as needed. 
  • Maintain raw material in work environment. 
  • Meet and maintain acceptable line efficiency and production standards.
  • Identify issues that he/she is not able to rectify and communicate them promptly to the Production Manager for assistance.
  • All other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None 

WORK INSTRUCTIONS TO POSITION SOPs are critical to meet customer specifications and maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency. Operator’s manual available on each line.

WORK SAFETY Ensures that all tasks and functions of position are performed in a safe manner at all times and that all procedures and requirements are properly followed to accomplish assigned tasks. 

FOOD SAFETY/QUALITY Responsible for food safety and quality as well as reporting food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority if unable to initiate action. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and understand standard operating procedures and customer specifications. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts using calculator.

REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visions and ability to adjust focus.
