We are interviewing for a MAINTENANCE TECH/ELECTRICAL TECHNITIAN position. Harvest Bakery Services deals with a wide variety of Food Manufacturing and Bakery Production Equipment both locally and out of state. Some travel will be required both locally and out of state.
General Summary:
* An ideal candidate should be a multi-craft/multi-skilled technician with expertise in electrical, electrical controls, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics and fabrication.
* We are looking for an individual to work closely with customers and provide good customer service.
Responsibilities:
* Participate in and direct troubleshooting activities in the event of equipment failure including participation in failure analysis, problem solving and prevention.
* Responsible for communicating with customers on the findings with equipment specific problems in a timely and efficient manner.
* Installation and testing of new and used Food Manufacturing and Bakery equipment both locally and out of state. Travel expenses will be handled by Harvest Bakery Services.
* Working with both manufacturing companies and other personnel to come up with solutions and proper parts to be replaced.
* Must provide own basic tools (i.e. wrenches, socket set, screwdrivers, electrical meters, etc) Specialty tools will be provided by Harvest Bakery Services.
Education and experience:
* High school diploma or GED required. Some technical school preferred.
* Minimum of one year experience in related field with knowledge and motor controls, pneumatics, hydraulics, hvac, etc.
* Food manufacturing a plus.
Required knowledge, skills and qualifications:
* Must be able to read and understand written and / or verbal instructions as well as instructions contained in instructional manuals.
* Must be able to troubleshoot equipment problems, coach others in troubleshooting techniques.
* Must be able to perform a under pressure and in a solo manner as task requires.
Preferred knowledge, skills and qualifications:
* Knowledgeable in AC/DC fundamentals and be able to read and interpret electrical schematics, such as high-voltage and control valves, ladder theory and logic, motor control logic, gas burner, some hvac, basic machinery understanding, etc.
* Have a working knowledge of operating theory such as gearing, leavers, sprockets, bearings, shafts, compressed air systems and control sequencing, lubrication, and positive repair techniques.'
