Harvard University is Hiring a Director of Strategy, Precision Population health Near Boston, MA

Job Summary

Ariadne Labs is a joint center for health systems innovation at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Our goal is to drive scalable solutions for better care at critical moments in people’s lives everywhere. Better care means better health outcomes, lower costs, and more actual caring. Critical means solving health systems failures that have major impact, typically touching people by the millions. Ariadne Labs currently has research programs in the areas of childbirth, surgery, palliative care, and primary health care.
Genomics and precision medicine are emerging fields that have been applied with great results in specialty care but, although there are many genetic markers relevant to primary care, there is no single best approach to bridging the implementation gap from specialty care to primary care, at scale. The Precision Population Health (PPH) program is a recent union between Ariadne Labs (AL) (a Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health global expert in implementation science) and Genomes2People (G2P) (a Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School global expert in genomics and precision medicine) to perform the research and to create the tools and guides necessary to bridge that gap. PPH’s modus operandi is to unite the best-in-class research, tools, and communities to spearhead the adoption of genomic medicine in population health.
Precision Population Health (PPH) is dedicated to fully integrating precision medicine and genomics into primary care, specialty care and population health. Preventive genomics is just beginning to be integrated in healthcare systems, and we are working to address the implementation challenges of adopting precision medicine at a population level and at scale.
Our mission revolves around the assertion that if precision medicine is to be fully integrated into population health and the day-to-day practice of primary and specialty care, significant health system innovations will be required to address implementation bottlenecks. Individually and collectively, we work with healthcare systems to overcome those very bottlenecks by identifying contextual prerequisites for adoption, establishing tools, pathways, and guidance for adoption, and by working with health systems to choose the best course that aligns with their objectives. PPH is a merged effort between Ariadne Labs and Genomes2People (G2P)
