Job Title:
Technology Specialist
Job Summary:
As a Technology Specialist working under the direction of the Director of Technology, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and advancement of the district's technological infrastructure. You will provide essential technical support to district staff and students, manage and maintain the technology infrastructure, and collaborate with the Director of Technology to implement and enforce technology policies. Additionally, you will oversee a team of technicians, coordinate tasks, and conduct training sessions to enhance the technology proficiency of district staff. This role requires technical expertise, leadership, and practical communication skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

This job's performance will be evaluated per provisions of the Board’s policy on the Evaluation of Staff.

This is a 12-month position. This is an IMRF position—salary and benefits established by the Board of Education.
Compensation and Benefits:
This position's compensation and benefits package is open to negotiation with the Board of Education, ensuring competitive and fair remuneration. The minimum starting base salary for the role is $75,000.00. Additionally, we offer comprehensive benefits, including Major Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance. Employees can also access Tuition Reimbursement, an Employee Assistance Plan, and Paid Leave.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands of this position include frequent sitting and standing for extended periods. Repetitive bending at the waist, kneeling, stooping, and crouching to assist students are also required. Regularly walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices, and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
