The Shops at Hartville Kitchen is a gift shop located inside the Hartville Kitchen Restaurant.

• Must have previous sales experience. Jewelry sales experience a plus
• Greets guests in a timely, professional, and engaging manner.
• Demonstrates professionalism and a high level of guest service so that guests leave our store with a positive image of us and our products.
• Describe merchandise and explain the use, operation, and care of merchandise to guests.
• Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on guest needs and desires.
• Consistently seeks product knowledge to act as an expert for our guests.
• Works as a team player to ensure each guest receives the best service possible.
• Must remain on the sales floor at all times with the exception of breaks or when retrieving merchandise for guests. The main focus is staying in the assigned area actively seeking out and engaging guests.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
• Operates cash registers and computers.
• Compute sales prices, and total purchases and receive and process cash or credit payments.
• Bag or package purchases, and wrap gifts.
• Close cash registers by counting and banding money, sorting coupons, and shutting computers down as directed by management.
• Place special orders for guests as needed for merchandise not currently in stock (utilizing computers to make sure item has not been discontinued and is currently available.)
• Clean shelves, counters, and tables.
• Keep assigned areas clean, neat, and merchandise in order.
• Ensures that stock is replenished and displays are neat to encourage sales.
• Consult with merchandiser regarding decisions concerning displays.
• Order and place merchandise signage in the proper location when necessary or as requested by management.
• Mark or ticket merchandise price changes when necessary or as requested by management.
• Maintain guest wish lists as directed in assigned areas.
• Always be willing to direct and/or escort guests to Guest Service, restrooms, fitting rooms, alcoves, or any place they are inquiring about.
• Must attend all in-house Professional Development training and meetings when posted.
• Assist in any aspect of special events as required by management.
