Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. As a Deli Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the deli area. Responsibilities: - Greet customers and provide friendly and efficient service - Take customer orders and assist with menu selection - Prepare sandwiches, salads, and other deli items according to customer preferences - Handle food preparation tasks such as slicing meats, cheeses, and vegetables - Operate kitchen equipment including slicers, ovens, and grills - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area - Stock shelves, refrigerators, and display cases with fresh products - Upsell additional items or promotions to customers - Handle cash transactions using the POS system - Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations - Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the deli Skills: - Previous experience in the food industry or deli setting is preferred - Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures - Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as slicers, ovens, and grills - Proficiency in using POS systems (e.g., Aloha POS) for order processing - Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Basic culinary knowledge is a plus Join our team as a Deli Associate and enjoy a dynamic work environment where you can showcase your culinary skills while providing exceptional service to our valued customers.
