The Hartford School District is seeking a special education teacher to join our dedicated and passionate special education team at the Regional Resource Center. Candidates should have a strong background in understanding students with complex learning profiles, experience with transition planning, and providing high quality functional academic instruction. Experience with vocational instruction, using augmentative/alternative communication devices, and/or adaptive equipment is preferred. This teacher will work in collaboration with the program’s special educators, parents, related service providers, transition agencies, and oversee paraprofessional staff. We are looking for highly flexible team members to be part of a well-established program. Candidates should have solid communication skills, a strong commitment to students, and believe that relationships come first.
