POSITION: Summer School - High School Teachers – Credit Recovery Program

REPORTS TO: School Principal AND Assistant Director of Intervention and Expanded Learning Opportunities

POSITION SUMMARY: High school or middle school teachers are needed to staff positions at various schools for students in Grades 9-12, in the below subject areas. This program will be in-person.

• English (English 9, English 10, Literature & Composition I, Literature & Composition II)
• Math (Algebra I, Algebra II, & Geometry)
• Science (Biology, Chemistry & Physical Science)
• Social Studies (Civics, Foundations of Government, International Studies, U.S. History, World History)
• Health/Wellness (Physical Education, Health)

LOCATION: This program will be in-person. The program will run June 26, 2023- August 1, 2023, Monday- Thursday. Location and hours of employment are subject to change based on student enrollment.

QUALIFICATIONS: Connecticut certification in area of instruction. Teacher of record preferred Salary and Terms of Employment: Summer school rate as per Appendix D of the HFT contract is $40.00 per hour. No holidays, vacation or sick leave during this scheduled program period. Applicants who cannot work through the entire program due to scheduling conflicts should not apply. The program will run June 26, 2023- August 1, 2023, Monday- Thursday. Location and hours of employment are subject to change based on student enrollment.
