Hartford Golf Club Scholarship Foundation Administrator The Hartford Golf Club Scholarship Foundation is looking for an organized, trustworthy, and independent person to handle the administration of the scholarship awards and donations throughout the year.
The Hartford Golf Club Scholarship Foundation was started in 1989 to award scholarship assistance to deserving employees, children of employees, and golf caddies at the Club. Through this means, the Foundation furthers the educational plans of deserving students, and demonstrates that the Club respects and appreciates loyal service to its members.
This is a unique role, with flexible hours that vary throughout the year. June, July, February, and March being the busiest months working up to 10 hours a week. With consistent work throughout the year roughly 3-5 hours a week. Hours vary week to week. This is a great opportunity for someone that likes to make their own schedule but still has the ability to make deadlines. This position is working for the Hartford Golf Club Scholarship Foundation, not the Hartford Golf Club. The majority of the work is done from home with the exception of large printing jobs and mailings.
Responsibilities:

• Accept, organize, and review scholarship applications.
• Organize candidate interviews with the Scholarship Foundation.
• Create labels, edit and mail thank you letters to donors as needed throughout the year.
• Track member donations
• Edit and mail donation solicitation to HGC membership.
• Check and order inventory of HGC Scholarship stationery and envelopes.
• Create flyers and posters for department heads to share with their employees.

Requirements

• Must be able to work on a flexible schedule.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and Publisher
• Must be able to work with confidential information as well as sign a confidentiality agreement.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable transportation is a must for trips to the post office, Hartford Golf Club and other errands related to the scholarship foundation.
• Must have a PC at home to work on. The foundation does not provide a computer.
