Description:

This position manages the day-to-day warehouse activities within a two (2) shift operation to achieve exceptional customer service through consistent execution of all policies and procedures.

Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Ensure all work is completed within scheduled timeframes and quality standards with minimal disruption and in compliance with company guidelines and policies

Ensure all product received in as required and put away in correct locations as defined within Oracle or WMS.

Assign daily location audits to verify accuracy and correct any errors.

Approve overtime required, for those under direct supervision, prior to overtime being commenced.

Ensuring all outbound shipments including LTL, UPS and Will Call shipments are correct and damage free.

Process all returned goods authorizations in accordance with established policies and procedures

Ensure warehouse operations and techniques are focused on safety, efficiency, and accuracy and all policies and procedures are followed to support 100% compliance with SOX requirements.

Provide positive influence for continued development of employees in the warehouse including, but not limited to, training opportunities, feedback, succession planning and disciplinary actions

Ensuring all paperwork including Bills of Lading, Routing manifests, timecards etc. are completed correctly.

Responsible for ensuring all will call customers are handled in an efficient manner to minimize their time waiting for product.

Analyze and resolve problems as they arise and make quality decisions to remedy

Excellent Leadership and team building skills.

High level of customer service focus.

Act as an example for other by modeling effective cross-communication, positive sponsorship and positive attitude.

Ensure compliance with EH&S regulatory requirements and enforce safe work practices following appropriate H&S procedures, including WHMIS, PPE and OHSA.

Responsible for ensuring all forklift operators are certified and perform a pre-operation check and charge batteries as necessary

Housekeeping duties are performed as required but no less frequently then the end of the shift.

Ensure all time cards are processed correctly by the owner of the card and in accordance with hours worked.

Establish and document performance criteria for all direct reports.

Conduct performance reviews for all direct reports a minimum of twice a year or more frequently if required.

Responsible for supervising all permanent and temporary employees on the shift including material movers, auditors, clerical staff and others as may be assigned to the shift from time to time.

Required to submit a daily shift report outlining activities and issues.

Responsible for maintaining operations within established budget guidelines

Responsible for maintaining inventory and shipment accuracy.

Required to provide input into the financial planning process for the Distribution Center including anticipated manpower requirements as well as equipment, maintenance and other operating requirements.

Responsible for increasing warehouse productivity through Continuous Improvement methodology and standardization (i.e. LEAN/5S initiatives)
Must have a working knowledge of Oracle and be able to use basic Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
