Our broad array of equipment and services support every type of railway operator, from major national and international railway systems, to short lines and high-speed urban transit networks. Job DescriptionThe position will be responsible for successfully executing 1 to 3 medium-to-large, complex projects ranging upwards of $10M with durations ranging from 6 months to multiple years. This position requires a change agent with a proven track record of managing complex, highly technical projects with heavy performance requirements and potential for large scopes to be outsourced to selected sub-vendors. Key Responsibilities:• Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business.• Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.• Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues.• Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.• Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership.• Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables.• Deliver appropriate and effective level of communication across the organization. QualificationsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:• 4-year Technical degree, Engineering or Business preferred• Minimum of 3 years leading cross-functional teams on complex design and production projects, preferably with a manufacturing component.• Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations.• Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives.• Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills.• Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.• Support occasional travel both international and/or domestic (< 10%).Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:• PMP/PRINCE certification• Knowledge of Rail industry Additional Information“We offer competitive benefits, including health insurance, life insurance and disability plans, as well as a 401k with company matching.Harsco is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
