Position Summary:

Strategic & Business Development Intern

The Strategic Development Intern will provide administrative support to the Strategic and Business Development departments. The position is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in learning more about many areas of a trade publishing company in relation to strategic and business development, including sales, publicity, marketing, analytics, finance, inventory, and contracts.

Responsibilities include:

• Drafting pitch and business review presentations
• Optimizing search and consumer facing metadata of backlist distribution titles and analyzing results
• Running reports to review client sales and inventory
• Preparing materials for sales conferences
• Organizing sales materials
• Overseeing special projects as assigned
• Providing general administrative support

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe, and PowerPoint, with the ability to apply that knowledge to ABRAMS’ proprietary programs, software, and databases.
• Excellent time-management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Must be organized, detail oriented with ability to handle multiple projects.
• Excellent prioritizing skills and judgment
• Strong interest in working in a fast-paced environment.
