The Orchard Department is looking for a tech savvy seasonal irrigators to support the orchard department from May through September.

Main responsibilities include;

• Opening and closing irrigation valves based scheduling and daily requirements.
• Access and interpret electronic data needed to maintain efficient irrigation application.
• General maintenance in and around irrigation canals clean intake screens.
• Monitoring and repair sprinklers and small irrigation lines.

• High school diploma or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Basic experience operating tractors, ATV's, and/or general orchard equipment is desired.
• Experience in operation and routine repair / adjustments of irrigation and heating/frost systems is desired.
• Good verbal communication skills are required to interact effectively with work groups, co-workers and supervisors in a professional manner; provide general maintenance and care of the company's buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Must follow company policies and procedures including adherence to safe work practices.
• Physical requirements include close distance, depth perception, color, and peripheral vision.
• Other physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear, and taste or smell.
• Work in variable weather conditions, work around loud motorized equipment, work near areas where chemicals are used in the Orchards using proper personal protective equipment
• Work hours may vary during peak production cycles and must be able to work flexible hours including weekends.
• Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds.
