Be part of the leadership team for a community mental health agency who is dedicated to serving the needs of a diverse population! The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Community Services Board is seeking an experienced clinician to serve as the Supervisor of Community Crisis Services. This position provides program leadership and oversight to the daily operations, including but not limited to clinical supervision to program staff, crisis service delivery, program development, and assuring the program is meeting all regulatory requirements. The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate both in written and oral format. Qualified applicants must hold a professional license (LPC or LCSW) within the State of Virginia or be licensed eligible and be willing to complete the certification for preadmission screening. Preferred candidates will have a history of supervisory experience and/or program development within behavioral health and/or related field.
Major Essential Functions:1. Provides clinical and administrative supervision to the community crisis teams.· Meet regularly with ES and Adult and Children’s Community Crisis staff for supervision and consultation · Orient and train new staff· Address any personnel issues in consultation with Senior Manager and Director as appropriate· Will dispatch Crisis Response Team or respond as necessary· Function as the primary point person for Community Crisis Programs
2. Provides crisis intervention either by phone or face-to-face to individuals experiencing emotional distress.· Provides direct supervision and delivery oversight to the Adult and Children’s Community Crisis clinicians· Effectively prioritizes crisis situations and triages as necessary· Provides prompt responses for requests for services, information, referral, and consultation· Effectively deals with adults and juveniles in crisis who are MH, SA, ID or dually diagnosed· Effectively deals with suicidal clients· Provide immediate crisis intervention as appropriate· Ensure CEPP, assessment contact notes and necessary documentation is completed when a child/adolescent is
provided crisis services· Create individualized service plans to help stabilize a family/child in crisis
3. Involvement in all areas of the civil commitment process as needed· Provides accurate consultation and assistance as needed regarding the petitioning process, ECOs and TDOs· Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the Statutes of Virginia relating to DBHDS· Actively explores the least restrictive alternative 4. Provides supervision in collaboration with team members for all Mandatory Outpatient Treatment (MOT) clients· Monitors and provides consultation with the MOT program· Assists in facilitating the monthly agency MOT meeting· Assists in hearings as appropriate
5. In consultation with supervisor, provides back up to After Hours Emergency Services staff· Provides and is available for consult to after services staff· As needed, will help provide coverage for after hour shifts
6. Will participate and/or lead in community meetings on behalf of the agency, such as Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) meetings when Senior Supervisor is unavailable 7. Fulfills agency and Medicaid requirement for documentation· Follows agency procedures for accurate record keeping
8. Makes effective use of available technology, including computers, e-mail and voice mail in order to enhance customer service
9. Maintains effective relationships with co-workers and customers based on courtesy, compassion and respect

Other Information:Equipment: Telephone, copier, fax, vehicle, laptop Work Environment: General office environment with normal lighting levels, temperature, air quality, and ventilation and noise levels. Work Location: 1241 N. Main St, Harrisonburg; facilities, and/or community settings. Work Hazards: Standard hazards associated with rehabilitation programs. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, regular office hours as scheduled by supervisor; some evening and weekend hours required as scheduled. Additional hours as needed to perform job requirements. Regular attendance is required. HIPAA Access Level 2: Full read/write access to protected health information (PHI), limited to the minimum necessary, for all clients directly served or assigned, as well as all clients indirectly served through case consultation, clinical supervision, program management, or coverage requirements. Staff at Level 2 are allowed to seek out client PHI as necessary to perform their assigned duties, but are expected to exercise due precautions to limit exposure to any PHI which is outside the scope of their need to know. Utilization of information will be in accordance with HIPAA regulations regarding use limitation, disclosure and requests of PHI.
