Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Perform medication administration duties, including preparing and labeling medications for patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of medication orders
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care
- Utilize aseptic technique when handling sterile products
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures regarding medication safety and storage
- Provide excellent patient service and address any medication-related inquiries or concerns
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in an acute care or hospital setting
- Proficient in medication dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Familiarity with critical care medications and inhalation therapies
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Note: Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not required.
