Job Summary:
We are seeking a Bakery Assistant to join our team. The Bakery Assistant will assist in the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring the production of high-quality baked goods and providing excellent customer service. Duties:
- Assist in the preparation and production of a variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, and desserts
- Follow recipes and baking techniques to ensure consistent quality and taste
- Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, and proofers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment
- Package and label baked goods for display or sale
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, answering questions and taking orders
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed

Skills:
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus
- Experience with cash handling in a retail or food service setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and train staff
- Excellent interviewing skills to assist in hiring new bakery team members
- Culinary skills with a focus on baking techniques
- Previous experience in the food industry, preferably in a bakery or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of hotel or restaurant operations is beneficial
- Bartending experience is a plus
