Harris Teeter - Resume & Hiring Events is Hiring a Floral Manager Near Gaithersburg, MD

Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Floral Manager to join our team. The Floral Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the floral department, including managing inventory, creating floral arrangements, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for flowers and a strong background in floral design.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain inventory of fresh flowers, plants, and floral supplies
- Create beautiful and unique floral arrangements for various occasions
- Assist customers in selecting the perfect floral arrangements for their needs
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and resolving any issues or concerns
- Train and supervise floral department staff members
- Ensure that all displays are visually appealing and well-maintained
- Monitor sales and implement strategies to increase revenue
- Handle cash register operations and cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the floral department

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a retail sales or floral design role
- Strong knowledge of different types of flowers, plants, and floral arrangements
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficient in cash handling procedures and operating a cash register
- Knowledge of lawn care and plant maintenance is a plus
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers
