Construction Project Manager - Installation of Controlled Temperature and Humidity environment walk-in rooms

The Company is an established specialty equipment subcontractor specializing in the turn-key design, engineering and installation of controlled Temperature and Humidity walk-in laboratories and storage rooms for major Universities, Biotech and Pharmaceutical companies.

We are looking for a Project Manager to handle commercial projects ranging from $70K to $3M.

Projects' activities include review of the design, procurement, turn-key installation of a structure comprising of insulated panels and MEP trades, including refrigeration systems, relative humidity controlling equipment, ducting and electro-mechanical control.

The candidate will possess a high level of technical competency and strong customer service skills.

Job responsibilities will include:

• Spearhead and manage all phases of assigned projects
• Manage procedures to verify quality of work and conformance to contract documents and applicable codes
• Review of the engineering submittals for equipment and shop drawings
• Buyout and management of subcontracts
• Timely invoicing
• Preparation and submission of change orders
• Manage field trades to ensure conformance with safety requirements, projects' schedules, and budgets

Requirements/ Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with construction trades, construction practices and documentation
• Experience with MEP is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills
• Proven track record of establishing and maintaining project schedules and cost controls
• Experience in cost negotiating with vendors, sub-cotractors, construction managers
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Infrequent overnight travel may be required

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
