Harris County ESD No. 3 is seeking dedicated and skilled EMTs to join our team. As an EMT, you
HC ESD 3 is seeking dedicated and compassionate Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our team in providing crucial emergency medical services to the community. As an EMT with HC ESD 3, you will play a vital role in delivering prompt and effective pre-hospital care to individuals experiencing medical emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide on-scene medical treatment and transportation to medical facilities.
  • Assess patients' conditions and administer basic life support interventions, including CPR, bandaging, splinting, and administering oxygen.
  • Safely operate emergency vehicles in accordance with state laws and departmental policies.
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and emergency vehicles.
  • Participate in continuing education and training programs to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Current DSHS EMT certification.
  • Current Texas Drivers License and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in high-stress environments and make quick decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
