Industry leading hedge fund has immediate need for a Data Engineer to join its growing team in a full time role with their NY team. This role offers the opportunity to develop, implement and support the data infrastructure that drives reporting capabilities by developing ETL pipelines, data transformation, and analytics with Python. You'll build dashboards for the firm's senior leadership with a Python library and design reporting analytics tools and reports for business stakeholders.

Skills and Experience:

• A bachelor's degree or higher and five years of relevant experience working in a professional, hands on, data science or data engineering setting are required.
• Proficiency with Python and SQL for ETL development and data transformation and analytics is required.
• A willingness to dive into details, collaborate effectively with teammates, and drive projects to completion is essential.
• An affinity for data wrangling and finding the perfect way to display data for business stakeholders.
• Experience working in a cloud environment with either AWS or GCP is required. AWS Redshift experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong hands on Python and SQL development skills is required.
• Experience developing reports using data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
• Hands on experience developing and optimizing ETL data pipelines and data models to handle large datasets.
• Individuals who are committed to providing excellent customer service, have impressive interpersonal communication skills, and have an ability to see how small details impact the bigger picture will thrive in this role.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently within a collaborative team is required.

The expected annual base salary for this position is $120,000 to $170,000.
