Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Phlebotomy Technician to join our team. As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare field by collecting blood samples from patients for laboratory testing and analysis. Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens
- Verify patient information and ensure accurate labeling of specimens
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures
- Provide exceptional patient care during the phlebotomy process
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate specimen collection
- Assist with clinical research and participate in clinical trials as needed
- Contribute to curriculum development for phlebotomy training programs
- Utilize technology platforms such as Blackboard for adult education and classroom instruction

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
- Current certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Phlebotomy Technician in an acute care setting
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in patient care techniques and infection control practices
- Experience working with students in a clinical setting is a plus
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and prioritize tasks effectively

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
