Job Description Provides excellent customer service through Harper College's multi-channel communication, including calls, chats and emails and delivers quality information to students and community members. Responsibilities Schedule Information: Monday through Friday. Evenings and Saturday hours may be required Hours Per Week: 37.5 Benefits: Health, Dental, Life & Disability; Sick, Vacation & Holiday Pay; Personal Business; Harper Tuition Waivers; and Professional Expense. Work Conditions: Work is primarily indoor and sedentary in nature. Duties of Position: Responsible for answering incoming calls and assisting callers through transferring calls, answering questions, and providing information. Places outgoing and interoffice calls. Responds to requests for information in-person, via telephone, live chat and by email. Redirect customers to appropriate departments and teams when appropriate. Operates Telecom center equipment. Responsible for and maintains Front Desk/Info Desk area. Provides routine non-technical information upon request and refers other questions to the appropriate person. Provides Domestic and International telecom codes to staff. Maintains records of all long-distance telephone calls. Helps maintain Telecom database. Performs incidental clerical tasks on occasion. Interacts with all customers in a friendly and courteous manner. Performs related duties as assigned. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Work is primarily indoors and sedentary in nature. May involve lifting to 25lbs. on an occasional basis. During peak periods, some evening and Saturday hours may be required. Equipment/Tools Used: Utilizes standard office equipment, including computers, to perform the duties of the job. Supervision: Under direct supervision of the One Stop Center Manager, receives oral and written instructions as required. Associate's Degree preferred. Experience: One year of customer service or call center experience required. Proficient in spreadsheet, email, Teams and calendar software in a Windows environment required. Experience with Cisco voicemail systems and outlook email/calendar preferred.
